Innophos Advances North American Battery Supply Chain Strategy
CRANBURY, NJ – [September 15, 2026] – Innophos is expanding its role in the electric energy storage system and battery markets, leveraging its unique position as a premier North America-based, vertically integrated producer of battery-grade phosphates. Through this initiative, Innophos will produce (i) iron phosphate for current lithium iron phosphate (LFP) technologies and (ii) sodium iron phosphate (NFPP), a next generation battery technology.

Innophos significantly expanded its U.S. based purified phosphoric acid production capacity over the past several years and is targeting further increases in battery-grade phosphate material capacity by 2028, including iron phosphate and NFPP, at its facility in Nashville, Tennessee.
