- Innophos' Nashville Tennessee plant began manufacturing in the early 1920's. The site continues to be engaged in the production of phosphate salts and phosphorus chemicals. The plant is a premier supplier for leavening acids and still produces the original product. Major products include various calcium and sodium aluminum phosphate salts for baking and polyphosphoric acid for a variety of industrial applications including the modification of asphalt through the tradename Innovalt. Phosphoric anhydride and polyphosphoric acid catalyst are produced for chemical and refining applications.
